Matuamu Niya Kiyamowura...It's a Gonja proverb that means "No matter what comes at me, I won't be bothered by it", or, "I don't care". This name was given to me when I lived with a family in the Gonja tribe in Northern Ghana. Often reminded of the name's "strength", I was told that I had to work hard to live up to my proverbial name...it's a long journey learning to not let things of this world "get under my skin".
